Melbourne’s east and south-east

Alarms watched, patrols sent, systems installed. From Vermont.

Secura monitors alarms from a control room staffed around the clock two kilometres from Box Hill, sends marked patrols when they go off, and designs and installs the alarms, cameras and access control behind them. One company, one number, since 2000.

What we do

Monitoring and response, and the systems behind them

Two halves of one job. The control room and patrols watch and respond; the installation side makes sure there is something worth watching. Most clients take both, some take one. Either way Secura is the company you deal with.

Monitoring and response

Alarm monitoring

Your alarm watched 24 hours a day from a control room in Vermont, with keyholders called and patrols sent when it matters.

Alarm response and patrols

Marked patrol vehicles that respond to your alarm and check your site on a schedule, with GPS-verified reports.

Installations

Alarm systems

New alarm systems and upgrades for shops, clinics, warehouses and homes, including Ajax wireless systems, ready for monitoring.

CCTV installation

Camera systems you can actually use: clear footage, remote viewing on your phone, recordings kept for as long as you need.

Access control

Fobs, cards and phone credentials instead of keys that walk out the door, with a record of who went where and when.

How the pieces fit together
Why Secura

Local, licensed and answerable

A control room you can drive to, patrols that leave a report, and an owner who has run the business from the same postcode for twenty-five years.

A 24-hour control room, two kilometres from you

Alarm signals from your site are answered around the clock by operators at our Vermont premises, not a call centre interstate.

Marked patrols that actually turn up

Alarm response and scheduled patrols in marked Isuzu MU-X vehicles with GPS tracking, so every attendance is on the record.

Licensed, local and owner-run

A Victoria Police licensed security business operating from Vermont since 2000, with the owner on the end of the phone.

One company from design to monitoring

We assess the site, install the alarm, cameras or access control, connect it to the control room and look after it afterwards.

Rob Dell’Orso owns and runs Secura. He quotes most jobs himself, knows the sites by name, and his mobile is in the footer of every page.

How it goes

From first call to a monitored site

  1. Tell us about the site

Ring or send the form with the address, whether it is a business or a home, and what worries you. Photos and plans help.

  2. Free security assessment

Rob or a technician looks at the site, the existing equipment and how the place is used, and recommends only what will earn its keep.

  3. Install and connect

A written quote first. Then licensed technicians install the alarm, cameras or access control and connect it to the control room.

  4. Monitored and looked after

From day one the control room watches the site, patrols respond when needed, and Secura stays your point of contact for changes and faults.

Where we work

Patrols across the east and south-east. Monitoring and installs across Melbourne.

Alarm response and scheduled patrols run from Vermont, roughly 25 kilometres in every direction: Whitehorse, Maroondah, Knox, Manningham, Monash, Boroondara, the western Yarra Ranges and down to Dandenong. Monitoring and installations go further, across the metropolitan area.

Questions

Things people ask before they sign up

Who is Secura, and who is Guardian Security Group?
Secura Protective Solutions is the trading name of Secura International Pty Ltd, a Vermont security business run by its owner, Rob Dell’Orso, since 2000. We design and install alarm, CCTV and access control systems and look after them. Secura is an authorised representative of Guardian Security Group. Alarm signals are received and patrols dispatched from Guardian’s 24-hour control room at our Vermont premises, which Guardian describes as A1-graded. Secura designs, installs and looks after your system and is the one number you call.
What happens when my alarm goes off?
The signal reaches the control room within seconds. An operator checks it against your instructions, calls your keyholders in the order you have set, and dispatches a marked patrol vehicle if that is part of your plan or if nobody can be reached. You get a report of what happened and what was done.
Can you monitor the alarm I already have?
Usually, yes. Most alarm panels can be connected to the control room over 4G or the internet; if yours still relies on a phone line or a 3G communicator it will need a small upgrade, which we quote before anything is changed. We tell you honestly if the panel is worth keeping.
Do you look after homes as well as businesses?
Yes. Most of our work is commercial, from retail and medical to golf clubs and manufacturing, but we install and monitor home systems across the east and the same control room watches them. See the residential page for how it works for a house.
How quickly can a patrol get to my site?
It depends where you are and what is happening on the night, so we do not publish a response time we cannot promise on every call. Patrols are based around Vermont and cover Melbourne’s east and south-east; tell us your suburb and we will tell you plainly what to expect.
How do I get a quote?
Ring 0413 736 045, email info@securasolutions.com.au or send the form on any page. For installations we come out and assess the site first, free of charge, then quote in writing. Monitoring and patrol plans are usually priced from a conversation about the site.
Are you licensed?
Yes. Secura International Pty Ltd is licensed under the Private Security Act 2004 (Vic) and our business licence number is in the footer of every page of this site. Technicians and patrol officers hold their own individual licences for the work they do.
